Individual Programs for Children
Each child is tested on his/her basics using a test that requires one-on-one assessment to work out the strengths and weaknesses in reading, sentence comprehension, spelling and math. This data along with information gathered on their overall educational progress is used to construct an individualized program for each child. One of the tools used to enable a child to progress individually so he/she is not held back by the rest of the class is a “checksheet.” A checksheet consists of a set of assignments, both theory and practical, that a student carries out in order to learn and apply information in a specific topic so as to accomplish a named purpose. You can see examples of checksheets at Applied Scholastics Academy.
